CVTSA Wins Award for Patient Website

Www.cvtsa.com, launched in 2008, took third place in international website competition

 

FALLS CHURCH, VA – Cardiac Vascular and Thoracic Surgery Associates’ website received the Health Care Provider Standard of Excellence award in the 2008 Web Marketing Association’s international WebAward competition.

 

The site launched in January, 2008 and was designed to provide patients and their families with a comprehensive view of cardiac, vascular and thoracic disease, while also providing them with pertinent office information. “We set out to design a site which was different from typical health cares sites,” said CVTSA president Paul S. Massimiano, MD. “Our goal was to communicate the compassion, innovation and excellence our providers bring to every patient and to provide patients with the information they need to participate in their own health care decisions. Winning this award so soon after launching the site tells us we are on the right track.”

 

The Web Marketing Association was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and development of the best websites on the World Wide Web.
